FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1 I haven't studied (or learned) marketing previously. Can I still do the program?
It's not recommended, as this course does not teach you the basics of how to market, it assumes you have done some training already and focuses on helping you communicate a very clear value proposition in a way that becomes irresistible to prospective employers.
2. I haven't finished my degree yet. Should I wait until I'm finished?
If you are a first or second year student you are advised to wait until your final semester to undertake the program to obtain maximum benefit from it. If you are in your final year, or a masters student you will benefit from the program as it means you will complete your degree fully "job-ready".
3. Can I do the program if I am an international student?
Yes! As long as you have good command of English and have a marketing degree, and passion, enthusiasm and determination, you have the ingredients for a great job in Australia.
4. Do I need to do an internship to get a good job?
The most important thing you need is to be able to demonstrate to a prospective employer that you are going to deliver real business value for them. An internship can be a good way to demonstrate this, if approached the right way, but it's not mandatory and there are other options, which are outlined in the program.
5. Can I claim the cost of this program as a tax-deduction?
You'll need to speak to your accountant but yes, normally programs like this are considered a business expenses and can be claimed.
6. How many hours a week will I need to dedicate to the program?
It is recommended to allow for about 4-6 hours each week. Some weeks may be longer, others shorter. This includes time viewing the training materials, and implementing it info your own career - all of which is going to be a very worthwhile investment into yourself and pay dividends for years to come!
7. Is the program face-to-face or online?
The program is delivered online via private training portal. So - you can do the entire program from any location!
8. I'm a competent marketer that's done an internship, I know what type of marketer I want to be, have a great network, and so and I think my chances of getting a job are good. Should I still do the program?
Probably not, although you may circle back to it later if you don't get the response you're hoping for quickly. This program is designed primarily for people who are struggling to get their foot in the door, or work out what type of marketer they want to be.
